about

New Growth is an album that reflects the growth we (Shadows) have undergone as individuals and as a group. These songs chronicle our lives and the changes we experience, as exemplified by the cycles of the seasons and the way the elements alter the land, all of the flora and fauna thereupon and thus, the course of natural history.
In this new effort of ours, we have matured and sublimated our sound to be transcendent enough to honor these vast shifts of the tides, the changing landscapes of the mountains and the rivers of our home, here in the Pacific Northwest. Loss, perseverance, resilience, survival, adaptability: these are some of the other, related themes explored in "New Growth". Please, sit back and enjoy. And of course, PLAY IT LOUD!

Beneath the shadows of the mountains, we dwell. Diminutive, though we are, we fill the vast spaces with the songs of Shadows.
